MUSTADAFIN FOUNDATION RAMADAAN PROGRAM

Mustadafin Foundation over the years based on funding we received has decided that we can only work with 3 000 people effectively, but support other organizations/mosques working with Muslims programmes on their Ramadan program.

Three thousand extra people will be provided with meals in the following areas:

Areas of Operation:

MANENBERG
GUGULETHU
TAFELSIG
FREEDOM PARK
WESBANK 

Areas we will assist but needs:

HANOVER PARK
PHILIPPI SECTION ONE & TWO
LANGEBAAN
SALDANHA
VREDENBURG
ATLANTIS
HOUTBAY
SUURBRAK

Taraweeg programmes will be run at our three centres headed by our own staff members. 10 min discussions after Taraweeg program by various Imam/ Sheikhs.

• Iftar meals to be provided to 3 000 people at the above areas.

• Weekend programs discussions.

• With all our previous programs, it was brought to our attention that the Muslims in the community we serve have problems with food for Suhur.

• Mustadafin Foundation has realized that the community is faced with many difficulties particularly people in the informal settlements, to start a fire or because of lack of paraffin. The other factor is gangsterism, drugs, where someone in the family would sell the goods to maintain their drug habit.

• For the past 5 years this program has successful campaign via sponsorship for Iftar and suhur (breakfast) bag where the Muslim Communities sponsored a pot of food and provided food for people for Suhur (breakfast).  Algamdulillah, we know the Muslim community will make this year once again possible.

• This year we have yet again been approached to assist in with Ramadaan in areas like Vredenburg, Saldanah, Atlantis, Suurbrak and Houtbay.

Insha Allah with your assistance we intend to help these poorer communities which are just on the boundaries.
